Taquería El Fogón has been offering Mexican antojitos, tacos and dishes in Bushwick, New York since 2005 when Filiberto and Margarita opened their first restaurant on Flushing Avenue. The family run restaurant serves authentic Mexican food made from scratch every day on site with fresh ingredients, salsas and marinades. The dishes are made using family recipes from their native state of Tlaxcala. There are specials on offer on the weekends as well as a lunch time menu of the day and home made aguas frescas and beers to accompany your meal. They also serve their own special dishes like El Burrito Mojado, a signature dish since 2005. 

The restaurant brings a true taste of Mexico to Bushwick, and will be sure to bring back memories of Mexico to all who have traveled there. The success of the first restaurant led to Filiberto and Margarita opening El Fogón 2 on Cook street in 2013, just a short walk from the first restaurant and a two minute walk from the Morgan Avenue subway stop on the L line. Whether you want a traditional Mexican breakfast of Huevos Rancheros with salsa verde, a sandwich from Puebla, known as a Cemita, for lunch or Enchiladas de mole con pollo for dinner, there will always be something to satisfy your craving for Mexican food at El Fogón.
